From Dream to Craft: Pouria’s Journey into Florentine Leather Art

Discover Pouria’s path from a dream to Florentine craftsmanship: creating authentic leather art for Florencia.

Florentine artisan hand stitching leather bags

Since childhood, Pouria dreamed of becoming a fashion designer - sketching bag shapes, experimenting with different materials and chasing beauty in every form.

His journey led him to Tuscany, where he studied under Lorella Ceccanti, one of Tuscany's most respected bag designers. Under her guidance, he learned every stage of bag making - from bag design, bag pattern-making to bag hand-stitching. Below, you can see Pouria’s bag-making journey during his studies:

During his studies, Pouria began personalising many of the standard bag patterns taught in the course by adding his own hand-woven accents: such as woven handles, straps, and borders. The hand-stitching technique allowed him to truly express himself, as he could immediately start creating his own designs and transforming his vision into tangible pieces. He soon began sharing these creations with our clients in the store.

Below, we are delighted to share some of Pouria’s very first bag prototypes:

Beyond technique, Lorella taught the philosophy that beauty lives in patience and imperfection in the marks left by the human hand.

Today, together with our team, Pouria shapes Florencia around that same belief: authentic, enduring, and profoundly human. We would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to Lorella Ceccanti, who continued to guide and inspire Pouria even after his studies. In her honour, one of the bags from the Rose Collection was named the “Lorella” Bag.
